Military Competency Course—
Military pilots can get their civilian commercial certificate and instrument rating as well as appropriate type ratings by taking a simple 60 question test on civilian regulations. FAR 61.73 provides this benefit by allowing you to get a commercial certificate and instrument rating or adding it to an existing private pilot certificate by presenting proof of a military instrument proficiency check to your local FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). Pilots qualified as aircraft commander in military aircraft with civilian equivalents requiring a type rating can have that aircraft type added to their civilian certificate with military records showing 10 hours in type (fixed wing and helicopter).
This course will prepare you for the FAA 60 question, military competency examination on the civilian regulations you need to take at any authorized testing center to get your commercial certificate and instrument rating in addition to any type rating for the aircraft you fly on a civilian pilot’s license.
Includes coursebook.134 minutes.
