The videos were well put together and very informative. Some though were long and slightly difficult to follow. It would also be nice if the lengths of the videos were given that way you can judge whether there is time to complete a video or section if you are pressed for time. Very good service overall, will definitely come back for later tests since this was only my Private Pilot single engine land

Website is well planned and easy to use

I took the Airman Knowledge Test 11-5-2015 -95%.  Practical and check ride today all questions and maneuvers good!  Studying on my own I became overwhelmed with information.  The King courses(PP Ground School & Test Prep also PP Practical Test) narrowed the information down to what is needed.Thanks to the King's

Vary Helpfull need to watch 3 or 4 times difintly helps and don't forget to make notes or 3x5 cards

The King School checkride prep videos are thorough regarding the basic rrquired aeronautical knowledge and flying skills needed to pass your the oral and flight portions of your checkride. However, it appears that they were recorded in the '90s, making them at least a decade and a half old! Would've been nice to show how to use more modern navigational aids, especially GPS and iPad-based navigational programs. Also would've liked to see John and JC discuss ADS-B and other collision avoidance tech and techniques, like scanning. And no night flight demonstration, even though the checkride itself takes place during daylight hours. Overall a good review to boost a student pilot's confidence in their knowledge and flying skills.

I enjoyed all the videos.  I thought they were very thorough.  Wish me luck I go for my checkride in a couple days.

The King School Private Pilot Ground School and Test Prep Course were outstanding and well worth the cost. The knowledge conveyed in the videos was clearly presented and really sticks with you. In addition, the web-based tools make it easy to take practice tests, search for information, and review key concepts. The only minor complaint I have is that the web-based questions and answers were not always displayed properly and the videos can be difficult to view in situations with limited Internet access.

This course is a must for anyone preparing for the FAA Knowledge test.

I am already a private pilot as of a few months ago, but I am now completing the practical course for private pilots. I think Kings has done a great job of sharing the experience of an actual private pilot checkride. The reason I've decided to do the course now is for the purpose of review. I've not been PIC for a couple months and wanted to get myself a bit more familiarized before I hop back into the cockpit. I like that a standard, frequently used aircraft (C172) was selected as the aircraft for John's checkride. He also does a good job of "thinking out loud," which is something I found extremely helpful during my instruction days. John King's checkride demonstrated a very accurate picture of what a student pilot can expect on their own examination day. I found myself having flashbacks of my own checkride the whole way through this course. It was totally realistic, and was full of teaching-type feedback at all points of the course!
